Stones suffer damaging defeat….

Wealdstone’s battle to avoid relegation in the Ryman Premier suffered a blow yesterday after a 3-1 home defeat to Tonbridge Angels.

The Stones opened the scoring after 26 minutes against the run of play with Dean Papali flicking in from Jomo Faal-Thomas’s cross.

But the visitors equalised shortly after Wealdstone had a goal disallowed.

And two second-efforts from Tobridge ensured another miserable afternoon for the Stones. They have another huge match on Tuesday night with Maidstone visiting Northwood Park.
