WealdstoneA mixed Wealdstone side went down 2 – 1 to an almost full strength Hendon team yesterday in the second pre-season match. A report from Fergie follows:
The match was played in three 30 mins periods, the first 30 saw wealdstone fall 2-0 down with some poor defending , we didn’t create a lot in the first period Hendon created a few other chances and could quite easily of increased their lead .
The second period Wealdstone played a lot better football created a few chances but most importantly defended better, the third period saw Ricky Pither play well down the right and he created the cross where i think it was Marvin Morgan who was pushed in the box and Micky Swaysland despatched the penalty.
Wealdstone played poorly in the first period but battled well in the next two. Players that were used were Andy Carter, Danny Reeve, Tyrone Hercules, Billy Amarteifio, Ricky Pither , Danny Tilbury, Marvin Morgan, Micky Swaysland and David Godfrey all the others were trialists, no one outstanding but it is the first game against a fairly physical side.
