Another good performance this afternoon against a strong Banbury side, saw wealdstone run out victors by 1 – 0 trialist Landi Sakala scoring with a first time volley from a Mick Swaysland cross on 28 minutes.

It wasn’t a day for the purists though as the heat and a pitch more suited to Sunday football in April made a passing game difficult. Stones though restricted their opponents to a single attempt, a free kick coming back off a post, while creating three or four for themselves, Swaysland & Pither unlucky not to increase the lead.
