A difficult and somewhat uninspiring first half as much of the play was in midfield as two sides struggled to create chances in the early stages, although as the half progressed, Stones created one or two but to little effect. The closest they came to breaking the deadlock was a Charlie Mapes free kick which hit Marvin Morgan and deflected wide almost on half time.

The second half started in similar vein, but again Stones failed to make the breakthrough. Andy Carter made a couple of good saves early on, only to see Stones go behind just after the hour. Billy Amarteifio was caught in two minds and shanked his clearance high into the six yard box where Miller headed home from close range.

Minutes later and Stones attacked. Tilbury played a ball to Marvin Morgan whose first time toe poke over the defender was met by Jermaine Beckford. His bicycle kick from 12 yards beat the home keeper to put Stones back on level terms, which was no more than they deserved.

Stones had the better of the closing stages, but saw chances go wide rather than troubling the home keeper and Yeading will be far happier with the point.
