Wealdstone 2 – 2 Slough Town
2 - 2
Stones started brightly against Slough and took an early lead when an excellent ball from Josh Cooper found Jermaine Beckford who slotted home.
From then on, Slough had the better of the possession in the first half, but couldn’t convert that to goals, the score remaining 1-0 at half time.
The second half started in similar vein, Beckford this time collecting with a clearance on the volley from some 28 yards, giving the visiting keeper no chance, making the score 2-0 to Wealdstone.
Late on Substitute Mark West scored what seems to be his customary goal against Wealdstone, cutting inside his defender and flighting an excellent ball into the Stones net from around 18 yards giving debutant keeper Carroll no chance on 83 minutes.
On the 90th minutes, Slough got the draw they probably deserved when a long ball into the box saw another debutant, Luke Evans challenge, the ball skimming off of his head past Carrol for an unlucky own goal.
