Harrow BoroughStones beat Harrow Boro’ on penalties this afternoon to win the Brian Collins Challenge Trophy after the match finished 2-2 on 90 minutes.
Boro had the best of the early exchanges and looked stronger in midfield than a Stones side missing four ‘starting’ players on holiday, but Wealdstone took the lead in the 44th minute when A Trialist scored from 15 yards, the ball played to him by Dean Papali.
The second half saw Stones on top early on and A Trialist extended the lead before the usual rash of substitutions gave the impetus to Harrow Boro and they pulled back the two goal deficit and send the game to penalties.
Billy Sentence, Matt Miller, Trialist, Gavin Bamford and John Christian scored the 5 for Stones to lift the trophy.
