Wealdstone 2 – 2 Enfield Town
2 - 2
New Begining…
A mixed Wealdstone side featuring First Team, Squad Players and some Youth Team player, more by injury than design faced a nearly full strength Enfield Town side this evening in a fast and competitive match, honours finally being shared in a 2-2 draw.
The game started with Enfield on the attack as it took a while for the Wealdstone side to find there feet, and it was Enfield that took the lead through a Robin Tucker own goal, a header from inside the six yard box. Stones soon equalised when good work from Victor Asombang threatened the Enfield goal, his cross field ball finding Oriot whose cross was well met by Asombang and his header beating the visiting keeper.
Stones took the lead when Lee Walker scored from a corner, but poor marking at the end of the first half allowed Enfield to equalise from inside the box with a low shot. A number of changes from both teams at half time and during the second half meant that both sides lost a little shape and there were no more goals, although it was still a competitive and even match.
