A disappointing game, stifled in the most part by two sides heavy in midfield.

Stones started brightly having the better of the early exchanges, Morgan and jolly both having chances to open the scoring before the home side had created a chance, but on 14 minutes Waltham Forest took the lead when Samuels met a cross and headed home from 6 yards.

Stones struggled to create from that point as they were hustled out of the game in midfield, Waltham forest looking sharper and certainly it seem with more desire to win. They did create openings but in the most part the end result was a long shot wide or high, as Andy Carter was under little trouble in the Stones goal.

Stones came more into the game towards the end of the half and as the home side failed to clear a corner the ball fell to Richard Jolly who volleyed home from ten yards for the equaliser.

The second half was similar in pattern to the first with neither side really forcing the respective keepers to save, although Forest looked more dangerous, particularly from corners with the advantage in physical presence in the box.

Stones started to play better football towards the end of the game and saw a couple of efforts saved, but in the end on the performance they will probably be happy with a point.
