Danny Parish shone brightest in the battle of the National League North and South champions, netting an impressive hat-trick on his full debut against King’s Lynn Town.

The Linnets scored two goals after half-time courtesy of debutant Kairo Mitchell but the National League’s top scorers took all three points back to West London.

Stones Manager Dean Brennan made six changes from the side that were eliminated from the FA Cup last Saturday, including a full debut for Parish and returns for Harry Isted, Jack Cawley, Michael Phillips, Danny Green and Ross Lafayette.

It was a flying start for the travelling Stones who broke the deadlock after six minutes when Parish scored his first for the club, he latched onto Lafayette’s pass following a great run from Dennon Lewis.

The game lost the initial pace of the opening five minutes until later in the first half when Michee Efete squared a low cross at the by-line which evaded every Stone in the penalty area.

It was a quick start to the second half as Mitchell headed in three minutes after the restart to eliminate any hope of earning first clean sheet of the season.

King’s Lynn were on top in the second half until Parish found his second, heading in his second goal of the game from Green’s corner.

The tables swung again three minutes later as Mitchell netted his second goal of the game for the hosts, a decent move from King’s Lynn ended in a chip by Mitchell over Isted.

Wealdstone have become accustom to crazy games already this season, this was another as Lafayette was taken down in the box three minutes after the host’s equaliser.

Parish stepped up and Archie Mair made a great save down to his right to deny the striker before Parish latched onto the rebound to secure his first Wealdstone hat-trick.

The Stones held on and now sit comfortably in 6th place in the National League after three impressive league wins in a row.
