Brook House 1 – 4 Wealdstone
1 - 4
Stones eventually won this game without really stamping their authority on it, and with better finishing, may have scored seven or eight.
They got off to the perfect start when after four minutes Courtnage beat his man and sent in a low cross from the bye-line which Jolly slotted home, and for long periods of the first half, Stones were well on top. Jolly should have added another with a one on one, and Morgan had a couple of close efforts – one cleared off the line after he rode a strong challenge to get in a shot, while the home side were limited to breakaways, although they did see a header come back off of a post.
Just before half time, Stones increased their lead when Morgan ran on to an excellent ball from Jason Shaw, and shot home from the edge of the box, and that seemed to kill off the game as a contest.
The second half followed a similar pattern with Stones almost pushing forward at will, Jolly again unlucky from close in, then on the hour a Kodra corner was headed goalward by Morgan and partially cleared to Tucker, his effort was blocked and the ball fell to Martin Carter who scored from close in.
Stones continued to press and on 80 minutes a Swaysland cross found Jolly, free to score Stones fourth.
The only disappointment was a mistake by Danny Tilbury in the last minute or so, which allowed Brook House to break forward, Chakadoza scoring a consolation goal, giving Carter no chance.
