Barton Rovers 1 – 1 Wealdstone
1 - 1
A disappointing game by all accounts, so I’m glad i missed it!
Stones were good in patches but Barton more ‘up for it’ according to Manager Gordon Bartlett.
Barton took the lead with a penalty on 82 minutes, James Duncan equalising for Wealdstone within a minute.

WEALDSTONE were unable to reproduce their recent flowing football as a workmanlike Barton side held them in check on Saturday.
Their best chance of a poor first half fell to debutant Gary Burrell. Promoted from the reserves to replace the injured Rob Courtnage at left back, his header from a Martin Carter cross drew out a full length save from keeper Gillham.
Earlier, Andy Carter had tipped Blackett’s 20 yard onto the bar and over but, apart from a Marvin Morgan header that was wide and a snap shot volley from Richard Jolly that a backpedalling Gillham had to quickly adjust to to catch, the half was a tiring slog.
A goalless game had seemed inevitable, but with ten minutes to go, a 50-yard clearance by Lochhead caught the Stones defence flatfooted and Martin Carter exposed for speed by Blackett.
As the Barton player checked his run to ease the ball past the advancing Andy Carter, the keeper’s lunge brought him down. Carter received a caution and Carey scored from the spot.
Moments after the restart, Stones drew level. A cross from the right was only partially cleared and James Duncan was on hand to lash the ball in from ten yards.
