Weston-super-Mare – 27 Jan – KO15:00

We welcome Weston-super-Mare to The Vale this Saturday (27 Jan) for our latest Vanarama National League South game kick-off 15:00.

The ‘Seagulls’ are presently sitting one place and one point ahead of the Stones in 12th place on 36 points from their 24 games played having won 10, drawn 6 and lost 8, scoring 44 and conceding 38 goals. On their last league outing they  won 3-1 away at Gloucester City.  When we met back in early September at the Woodspring Stadium the Stones were on the wrong end of a 5-1 defeat, conceding 4 second half goals without reply. That night the Seagulls Captain, Dayle Grubb,  ran the show and his consistent excellent performances in the first half of the season have been rewarded as he moved into the English Football League on 1st January with Forest Green Rovers where on his full league debut last Saturday he scored twice, provided an assist and picked up the MoM Award.

Stones manager Bobby Wilkinson will be looking to continue  the recent run of form which has seen three wins without conceding a goal in what is likely to be another intriguing  game. Get behind the lads from the off, make plenty of noise and offer encouragement throughout for the 90+ minutes as we go in search of the 3 points on offer.
