Stones sign striker Bradley Bubb ahead of Buildbase FA Trophy Quarter Final clash
We have signed experienced striker Bradley Bubb,29, from National League Ebbsfleet United. Manager Bobby Wilkinson’s persistence in pursuing the prolific forward finally paid off and an 18 month deal was completed ahead of the huge FA Trophy clash at big spending Billericay Town this Saturday. Bubb is not cup tied and is eligible for selection.
Harrow born Bubb was on the books of QPR as a youngster, prior to averaging more than a goal every other game for Chalfont St Peter and Beaconsfield before moving to Farnborough in 2009. He helped them to promotion from the Southern League and was a key part of Boro’s run to the Conference South promotion final in 2010/11. Forty goals in 88 games for Farnborough earned him a move into the EFL with Aldershot Town in the summer of 2011 and he also featured heavily amongst the goals for Eastleigh and then with Woking on a long term loan.
After a short spell in Belgium with Royal Antwerp playing under Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Bradley moved back to Aldershot and then on to Havant & Waterlooville in 2014. He then enjoyed a very successful spell at Oxford City , scoring 24 times in all competitions and winning the Supporters’ Player of the Year award. A scorer of over 200 goals in his club career to date, Bubb is a Grenadian international having picked up 10 caps in the CONCACAF Gold Cup and Caribbean Cup. Bubb was hampered by injury at Fleet last year but has since returned to full fitness
We welcome Bradley to Wealdstone.
