Preview – Hemel Hempstead Town – 19 Apr – KO 19:45
We travel to Vauxhall Road, the home of Hemel Hempstead Town this Thursday (19 Apr) evening for our latest Vanarama National League South game kick-off 19:45
Our hosts are presently sitting in 5th place on 64 points from 39 games played having won 17, drawn 13 and lost 9 scoring 66 and conceding 49 goals. On their last league outing they won 3-2 away at Bognor Regis Town on Saturday, the result relegating the Sussex side after just one season in the VNLS. When we met the ‘The Tudors’ back at the end of August the game at The Vale finished 1-1 in front of a crowd of 966.
Another close and hard fought encounter is expected as both sides look to secure the points on offer, get behind the lads from the off and throughout the 90+ minutes of game time.
This game will be segregated
Please note, the segregation will be implemented in the same manner as last season’s fixture – there will be NO access at the Tenzing Road side of the ground. Both sets of supporters will arrive at the ground via Vauxhall Road, then upon arrival at the car park home fans will be directed to the usual turnstiles adjacent to the clubhouse. Away fans will be directed to the top end of the car park to the turnstiles adjacent to the AstroTurf training pitches. Stewards will be allocated to the car park area to direct supporters, please assist us in managing the game effectively by complying with the directions and requests stewards and staff both outside and inside the ground.
Inside the ground, Wealdstone fans will be allocated the top end (Adeyfield School end) of the ground which includes the large covered terraced stand; temporary catering and toilet facilities will be installed. Any Stones fans who may require access to disabled or seating areas should engage with a steward upon arrival at Vauxhall Road. Hemel fans will be allocated the three remaining sides of the ground with access to the usual catering, toilet and bar facilities.
Please consider arriving early to ease congestion at the turnstiles and please be considerate to the local community if driving and parking in nearby residential areas.
Visitors to Vauxhall Road travelling by car should seek alternative parking arrangements and consider public car parks at nearby Queens Square and the car park at Travellodge/Toby Carvery accessible from Maylands Avenue, both of which are just a short walk away.
Hemel Hempstead Town FC supports the FA’s supporter education campaign on the danger of pyrotechnics at football grounds. All visitors to Vauxhall Road may be subject to search upon entry to the stadium, at the discretion of club officials and stewards.
