Preview – Brackley Town – 17 Mar – KO 15:00

We travel to St. James Park, Churchill Way the home of Brackley Town for a  Buildbase FA Trophy Semi-Final 1st Leg tie this Saturday (17 March) kick-off 15:00

Our hosts are currently sitting in 3rd place in the Vanarama National League North on 64 points from their 32 games played having won 18, drawn 10,  and lost 4  scoring 57 and conceding 28 goals. On their last league outing they won 2-1 at Gainsbury Trinity.

In the Buildbase FA Trophy they entered the competition at the 1st Round stage in  December where they defeated Braintree Town at home 2-0 in a replay after the original game finished 0-0. The second Round draw again saw two games, drawing at home to Barrow in the first match 0-0 before defeating the Cambrians, 2-0 in the reply. The 3rd Round draw saw  National League side Sutton Utd visit St James Park where they were dispatched  3-1. The 4th Round draw again saw two games, first a 1-1 draw at Stockport County before  winning the replay 2-1.

Another massive test for manager Bobby Wilkinson and his team as they prepare the squad ahead of Saturday’s game, speaking exclusively to the Stones webmaster Bobby commented “Everyone at the club knows that this is a massive game for us and that we face a big challenge. We will be fully prepared and we are going to Brackley without fear and we will be going for it. There can be no regrets and the boys will know what they have to do. You, the fans, I know, will play your part on Saturday in roaring the boys on and at times we will need to dig deep and keep the noise levels as high as ever. We are all in this together so let’s bring it on”

So get behind the lads from the off, make plenty of noise and offer encouragement throughout the 90+ minutes on Saturday……

Car Parking at St James Park  – Brackley Town have informed us that there will be NO spectator car parking available at St James Park on Saturday (save for disable badge holders), please find alternate locations in and around the town.

The  Semi-Final 2nd Leg will be played at The Vale next Saturday 24 March, kick-off 15:00 – Match Admission charges will be  Adult £15,  Concession£10 and  U18s £5 – Pay on the day (cash) or purchase your tickets via the WFC SC Secure MEGASTORE link HERE

The Supporters Club have placed an order for new design hats and scarves (most existing stock has sold out) but these will probably not arrive until next week but in time for the home leg of the semi-final. WFC SC will announce when these will go on sale at the club
