Preview – Whitehawk – Sat 7 Oct – KO 15:00
We welcome Whitehawk to The Vale this Saturday (7 Oct) for our latest Vanarama National League South game kick-off 15:00.
Our visitors are having a wretched season thus far and are presently sitting at the foot of the table on three points and have recently re-appointed Steve King as manager on a three year deal in a bid to turn the ‘Hawks’ season around. In their last league outing they drew at home 1-1 with St. Albans City.
After our FA Cup exit last Saturday it is back to the ‘bread & butter’ of league action for next few weeks, Manager Bobby Wilkinson and the squad will be looking to put points on the board and move up the table. One known absentee from the squad for this game will be Sam Cox who is away on International duty with Guyana who are scheduled to have played Grenada (away) on Friday (6 Oct).
No easy games in this League, the players need to be focussed for the 90+ minutes and the fans noisy and supportive from the off and throughout the match as we look to secure the points on offer.
There will be a bucket collection in and around the ground for Prostate Cancer UK on Saturday as part of Non League Day, please give generously.
The Football club have also pledged to make a donation to the charity based on the number of ‘clicks’ through the turnstiles on Saturday so please encourage friends, neighbours, work colleagues along to what should be an entertaining afternoon.
