Preview – Chelmsford City – Sat 19 Aug – KO 15:00
We welcome Chelmsford City to The Vale this Saturday (19 Aug) for our latest Vanarama National League South game kick-off 15:00
Our visitors have a much changed squad from that which reached the play-offs last season, the good form looked to continue with 3 straight wins this season ( an the opening day victory at home to Gloucester City, followed by wins at Welling Utd and Bath City), before suffering a set-back on Monday night at home when St. Albans City left Melbourne Park with all 3 points.
The Stones management team and squad will have had a chance to reflect on the results thus far, it is still early days but failure to take chances as they arise during the game plus cutting out individual errors which have led to goals conceded needs to be remedied quickly if the club wants to fulfill its ambitions.
A big thanks to our Match Day sponsors – Graham Jones ‘In memory of his dad John’ and Mim Goodman & family.
