Bath City – Sat 23 Sep – 15:00

We travel to Twerton Park, home of Bath City, for our latest Vanarama National League South game this Saturday (23 Sep) kick-off 15:00

Our hosts are presently sitting in 9th place in the League on 19 points from their 11 games played, winning 6, ( 2-1 at Truro City & Havant & Waterlooville, 1-0 at home to Poole Town, 2-1 home to Oxford City, 1-0 at Concord Rangers & 2-1 at Hungerford Town), drawing just 1 (1-1 at home to Welling Utd) and losing 4 (2-3 at Bognor Regis Town, 2-5 home to Chippenham Town, 1-2 home to Chelmsford City & 1-2 at Gloucester  City) scoring 17 and conceding 17. Last Saturday they defeated Knaphill FC of the Combined Counties League, Premier Division  6-0 in the Emirates FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round.

We face the ‘Romans’ at a time when they are in hands of local football legend Jim Rollo who is acting as caretaker manager following the departure of former boss Gary Owers who left earlier in the month to join National League side Torquay Utd.

The Stones management team and squad will be buoyed by the recent performances and results, more of the same is required throughout the 90+ minutes on match day if we expect to get anything out of  game.

Stones should have a near full squad to choose and it will be interesting to see how the starting eleven line-up come on Saturday.  One person who will be missing is  Ellliott Godfrey who has gone out on  ‘dual’ registration to Bostik League North Division club Cheshunt FC. Speaking to the Club’s website team this week Bobby Wilkinson said: “ Elliott remains in my plans but needs some game time so we have come to a good arrangement with Cheshunt. He will go there for 5 or 6 games to keep his fitness levels up”
