Welling Utd – The Vale – Sat 29 Oct
We welcome Welling Utd to The Vale this coming Saturday (29 Oct) for our latest Vanarama National League South fixture kick-off 15:00
Thank you to Markie Barton for sponsoring the match in aid of the Frame Football (London) initiative which is aimed at providing football to physically disabled players who need to use walker style frames or players who feel they can compete more equally by using these frames.
Our visitors, who were relegated from the National League last season, have made a wretched start to this campaign and are currently sitting in 21st place on 8 points having won 2 and drawn 2 and lost 10 so far this season. Manager Mark Goldberg has recently brought in the vastly experienced Jamie Day as first team coach with the aim to hopefully help turn things around on the pitch.
Following our success at Gosport Boro on Saturday we also enjoyed a good win in the MFA Senior Charity Cup last night against Harefield Utd by 4 goals to 1 – Stones scores Oshodi, McGleish, Kabba & Gibson – it was particularly pleasing to see youngsters Rawn Seale and Alex Lafleur from our Ryman Youth team feature in the squad.
There are no easy games in this League this season, the Stones Management team and squad will be well prepared come Saturday for what is likely to be another tough game. Get behind the lads from the off, make plenty of noise for the 90+ minutes as we go in search of the 3 points on offer.
Match day Admission: Adults – £13, Concession – £8, Under 18s – £3 and Under 14’s FREE
Our Premiership/Championship Season Ticket offer applies to this game – just show your current ST at the Turnstile and gain entry to the game for just £8. Armed Services personnel can also gain entry to our League games for just £8 on production of their ID card at the turnstile.
Please note, pay on the day entry to the ground is through turnstile’s 1 to 3, turnstile 4 is for Season Ticket holders and other official passes (players, scout, complementary etc.) No entry to the stadium will be allowed through the metal gates except for suitably badged individuals so please allow plenty of time to get into the ground prior to kick-off.
FREE Parking on the adjacent grass area to the stadium will be in operation, please follow directions from the match-day stewards. Alternatively you can park in the side streets near to the ground or use one of the pay & display car parks which are within 10–12 minutes walk of the stadium (see map HERE for assistance). Please be aware the Local Hillingdon Traffic Enforcement Department will be out and about and if you happen to park your vehicle inappropriately in the one of the side streets you are likely to get a ticket. You have been warned!
Public Transport – Met Line/Piccadilly service(s) should be operating as normal to Ruislip Manor or Ruislip. The Central Line will also be running a normal service (alight at Ruislip Gardens and then a 12-15 minute walk to the ground or cross the road and catch the E7 bus towards Ruislip) – Check TfL website for latest info HERE
Make sure you pick-up your match-day programme (£2.50) on your way-in to the stadium and your golden goals tickets (£1 a ticket, first goal wins £50 last goal wins £10). Lynn Evans and her team will be serving hot food (burgers (with cheese and bacon or just plain + salad), chicken burgers, bacon and sausage rolls and fish finger in a roll plus hot and cold drinks from the catering unit situated behind the WFC Megastore from 13.30.
The Ruislip Social Club is open from noon and will be showing the Premiership game between Sunderland v Arsenal from 12:30 and post match it is Crystal Palace v Liverpool at 17:30.
