Wealdstone progressed to the 3rd Qualifying Round of the Emirates FA Cup with a dominate and assured performance against a hard working Histon team running out 4-0 winners at the Vale.

The Stones staring eleven saw the return of David Hunt from injury and the inclusion of Shar Kabba  in place Omar Koroma.

From the off Stones were quicker to the ball and could have gone one up as early as the second minute when Benyon found space in the right channel however his shot went the wrong side of the far post. The first goal duly arrived on 16 minutes following an excellent save from keeper Niall Conroy from a Benyon effort the striker was the quickest to respond and confidently buried the rebounded.  Stones continued to create plenty of chances but a combination of  excellent goalkeeping and a resolute back four who threw bodies in the way at every opportunity to thwart the Stones meant that the score remained 1-0 in the first 45 minutes.

Dylan Williams replaced David Hunt for the second half and it was very much the same story  with Stones in control with the  visitors putting up a strong rear guard action with the very occasional break out of their own half.  The second goal duly arrived in the 55th minute when after another Stones attack the ball fell to Ricky Wellard some 22 yards out and he thundered in a rocket of shot which even the inspired Conroy was unable to keep out.

The game was well and truly up and further goals followed, Kabba setting-up Benyon for an easy tap-in the 65 minute and substitute Josh Hutchinson rounding proceedings off with a sublime finish in the 90 minute. Club Captain Wes Parker also got 20 minutes game time following his return from injury.

Into the hat for the 3rd Qualifying Round of the Emirates FA Cup with the draw to be made at Wembley Stadium  lunch-time Monday.
