Poole Town – The Vale – Sat 3 Sep

poole & weston coverWe welcome Poole Town to The Vale (HA4 6JQ) this coming  Saturday (3 Sep)  for our latest Vanarama National League South fixture kick-off 15:00

Our visitors were promoted last season from the Evo-Stick Southern Premier League and have made aa good start to life in the National League South picking up 16 points from their first 7 games played having won 5 (1-0 versus Maidenhead Utd, 1-0 verses Bishop’s Stortford, 1-0 versus Margate , 1-0 versus Bath City at home &  4-2 away to Hemel Hempstead), drawn 1 (0-0 at Weston -super-Mare) and lost 1 (0-4 at Ebbsfleet Utd).

The Stones management team and squad will also be looking to build on their good start to the season so we can expect to see a interesting game between two sides who are likely to play quite different styles of play come Saturday.

Saturday is also Non-League day, launched in 2010 it coincides with an international break  and provides Non-League Day clubs a platform to promote the importance of affordable volunteer led community football while giving fans across the country the chance to show support for their local non-league side on a day when there are no Premiership  or EFL Championship games.

Accordingly, the club have set a very attractive Match day Admission charge for this game with Adults at £5 Under 18s – £3 and Under 16s FREE in an effort to provide all  local football fans an opportunity to watch a game this weekend.

Please note, pay on the day entry to the ground is through turnstile’s 1 to 3, turnstile 4 is for Season Ticket holders and other official passes (players, scout, complementary etc.)  No entry to the stadium will be allowed through the metal gates except for suitably badged individuals so please allow plenty of time to get into the ground  prior to kick-off.

FREE parking on the adjacent grass area to the stadium will be in operation, please follow directions from the match-day stewards. Alternatively you can park in the side streets near to the ground or use  one of the  pay & display car parks which are within 10–12 minutes walk of  the stadium (see map HERE for assistance). Please be aware the Local Hillingdon Traffic Enforcement Department will be out and about and if you happen to park your vehicle inappropriately in the one of the side streets you are likely to get a ticket. You have been warned!

Public Transport – Met Line/Piccadilly service(s) should be operating as normal to Ruislip Manor or Ruislip. The Central Line will also be running a normal service (alight at Ruislip Gardens and then a 12-15 minute walk to the ground or cross the road and catch the  E7 bus towards Ruislip) – Check TfL website for latest info HERE

The Ruislip Social Club are also offering a special drinks promotion on Saturday with all draught beers and bottles of Bulmers at £3  and 4 bottles (Heineken, Sol, Bud, Becks, Desperados) for just £10 from noon to 14:00.

Make sure you pick-up your match-day programme (£2.50) on your way-in to the stadium and your golden goals tickets (£1 a ticket, first goal wins £50 last goal wins £10).  Lynn Evans and her team will be serving hot food (burgers, chicken burgers, bacon and sausage rolls and fish finger in a roll plus hot and cold drinks from the catering unit situated behind the WFC Megastore from 13.30

Get behind the lads from the off, make plenty of noise for the 90+ minutes as we go in search of the 3 points on offer.

Our next HOME Vanarama National league South games are  on Monday night (5 Sep) when Weston-super-Mare are the visitors kick-off 19:45 followed by Truro City on Saturday 24 Sep kick-off 15:00. We travel to Ebbsfleet Utd on Saturday 10 Sep (kick-off 15:00) and Concord Rangers on Tuesday 18 Sep (kick-off19:45). We also play our first Emirates FA Cup tie this season in the 2nd Qualifying Round on Saturday 17 Sep kick-off 15:00 – we will know our opponents on Monday (5 Sep) lunchtime.
