Match Preview – Truro City – Sat 24 Sep

20160924_truro_proggie_coverWe welcome Truro City  to The Vale (HA4 6JQ) this coming  Saturday (24 Sep)  for our latest Vanarama National League South fixture kick-off 15:00

Our visitors  have made a slow start to the season picking up  just 11 points from their first 11 games played having won 2 (2-0 at Concord Rangers & 2-0 at home to Hungerford Town), drawn 5 (2-2 versus Chelmsford City, 1-1 versus Welling Utd and 0-0 to Poole Town all at home; 2-2 versus Hampton & Richmond Borough  &  1-1 versus Oxford City on the road) and lost 4 (1-3 to Bath City & 0-6 to East Thurrock Utd at home,  1-3 at Gosport Borough & 0-2 at Maidenhead Utd). In the 2nd Qualifying Round of the Emirates FA Cup last Saturday they  lost 0-4 at Winchester City.

The Stones management team and squad will also be looking to build on their good start to the season, it was good to see recent absentees David Hunt and Club Captain Wes Parker get some valuable game time last Saturday in our FA Cup tie win versus Histon.

Our Premiership/Championship Season Ticket offer applies to this game – just show your current ST at the Turnstile and gain entry to the game for just £8. Armed Services personnel can also gain entry to our League games for just £8 on production of their ID card at the turnstile.

Please note, pay on the day entry to the ground is through turnstile’s 1 to 3, turnstile 4 is for Season Ticket holders and other official passes (players, scout, complementary etc.)  No entry to the stadium will be allowed through the metal gates except for suitably badged individuals so please allow plenty of time to get into the ground  prior to kick-off. FREE parking on the adjacent grass area to the stadium will be in operation, please follow directions from the match-day stewards. Alternatively you can park in the side streets near to the ground or use  one of the  pay & display car parks which are within 10–12 minutes walk of  the stadium (see map HERE for assistance). Please be aware the Local Hillingdon Traffic Enforcement Department will be out and about and if you happen to park your vehicle inappropriately in the one of the side streets you are likely to get a ticket. You have been warned!

Public Transport – Met Line/Piccadilly service(s) should be operating as normal to Ruislip Manor or Ruislip . The Central Line will also be running a normal service (alight at Ruislip Gardens and then a 12-15 minute walk to the ground or cross the road and catch the  E7 bus towards Ruislip) – Check TfL website for latest info HERE

The Ruislip Social Club opens at noon and will be showing the Manchester Utd versus Leicester City match on the big screen which kicks-off at 12:30.  Lynn Evans and her team will be serving hot food (burgers, chicken burgers, bacon and sausage rolls and fish finger in a roll plus hot and cold drinks from the catering unit situated behind the RSC & WFC Megastore from 13.30.

Make sure you pick-up your match-day programme (£2.50) on your way-in to the stadium and your golden goals tickets (£1 a ticket, first goal wins £50 last goal wins £10).

Get behind the lads from the off, make plenty of noise for the 90+ minutes as we go in search of the 3 points on offer.
