We welcome Banbury United to The Vale this coming Saturday (1 Oct ) for an Emirates FA Cup 3rd Qualifying Round tie kick-off 15:00
Our visitors are members of the Evo-Stick Southern Premier League and have reached this stage of the competition having beaten Dorchester Town 3-0 and Cirencester Town 6-1, both matches being played away from home. In terms of their League campaign they have played 11 games winning 5, drawn 2 and losing 4 scoring 15 and conceding 10 goals. In their latest game they played Merthyr Town on Tuesday night at home and drew 1-1 in front of 306 spectators. The stones management team and squad will be looking to bounce back following last week’s 1-2 home defeat to Truro City in the league. It is anticipated that the squad will see the return of defensive players Tom Hamblin and Eddie Oshodi for Saturday’s match, Tom Cadmore and David Hunt are though still missing through injury.

Please note, pay on the day entry to the ground is through turnstile’s 1 to 3, turnstile 4 is for official passes (players, scout, complementary etc.) No entry to the stadium will be allowed through the metal gates adjacent to the turnstiles except for suitably badged individuals so please allow plenty of time to get into the ground prior to kick-off.
FREE Parking on the adjacent grass area to the stadium will be in operation, please follow directions from the match-day stewards. Alternatively you can park in the side streets near to the ground or use one of the pay & display car parks which are within 10–12 minutes walk of the stadium (see map HERE for assistance). Please be aware the Local Hillingdon Traffic Enforcement Department will be out and about and if you happen to park your vehicle inappropriately in the one of the side streets you are likely to get a ticket. You have been warned!
Public Transport – Met Line/Piccadilly service(s) should be operating as normal to Ruislip Manor or Ruislip. The Central Line will also be running a normal service (alight at Ruislip Gardens, turn right under the bridge and stay on West End Road for the 12-15 minute walk to Grosvenor Vale) or cross the road and catch the E7 bus towards Ruislip) – Check the TfL website for latest info HERE
The Ruislip Social Club is open from noon and will be showing the Swansea City v Liverpool game from 12:30, Lynn Evans and her team will be serving hot food (burgers (with cheese and bacon or just plain + salad), chicken burgers, bacon and sausage rolls and fish finger in a roll plus hot and cold drinks from the catering unit situated behind the WFC Megastore from 13.30. Make sure you pick-up your match-day programme (£2.50) on your way-in to the stadium and your Golden Goals tickets (£1 a ticket, first goal wins £50 last goal wins £10).
Get behind the lads from the off, make plenty of noise for the 90+ minutes as we go in search of a place in the 4th Qualifying Round of the world’s most prestigious Cup Competition.
If Saturday’s game ends in a draw the replay will take place on Tuesday 4th October @ The Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium, Station Approach, Banbury OX16 5AD, Kick-off 19:45. Admission prices Adults £ 10, Concessions (Over 60s +Full time Students) 8 and Under 16s £2. The Supporters Club may run a coach to the game dependent on numbers, see Victor Klarfeld immediately after the game on Saturday.
