Player News
Femi Orenuga joins us from Vanarama National League North outfit Gloucester City. Originally signed by the Tigers in January 2015 to aid their campaign for league safety he became an instant favourite with the fans. Orenuga is the youngest player to ever appear for Southend United, before a move to Premier League side Everton followed by a loan spell at Notts County. Orenuga has also played in Scandinavia in the Sweden Second Division for AFC United in Stockholm, and then at Norwegian outfit Raufoss.
Half-Term Soccer Fun days
JJS Summer club are running a week long Soccer club for at The Vale from Mon 15 to 19 Feb, between 09:00 and 15:00 – £15 a day or £60 for the week. Send an e-mail for a registration form to jjssumerclub@hotmail.com
Football Scholarship Trials
Stanmore College will be holding football trials for the 2016/17 season during the forthcoming half term on Friday 19th February at The Hive (formerly Prince Edward Playing Fields), Camrose Ave HA8 6AG, with registration from 09:15. A new club badge is on sale at Toby’s stand by the players’ tunnel – this is an 18mm high version
of a previous Wealdstone badge and sells, as do all badges featured here, at £3-00.
Poppy badges remain popular sellers, so Toby has designed a new club version combining the familiar poppy motif with the club crest.
Finally a badge commemorating our F.A. Cup 1st Round tie with Colchester United back in Nov 15 is also available .
