Watford’s Luke O’Nien loaned to Wealdstone

o'nien Highly rated Watford FC midfielder Luke O’Nien,19,has been taken on a season long loan deal at Wealdstone. This follows a successful loan spell last season when Luke stayed for one month at The Vale during their title winning campaign. He made his debut as a late substitute in a win over Billericay Town on 31 March 2014, while his first start came three days later on 3 April in a 3-0 success over East Thurrock United. He then started the final game of the season, a 2-0 home win against Canvey Island.

Luke signed his first professional contract at the Hornets in the summer of 2013, having graduated from their Academy. Wealdstone Manager Gordon Bartlett said: ‘After a successful period last year we are delighted to secure Luke’s services again which will add drive and energy to the squad with his box to box running and excellent passing range.’
