Next Up – Stones v Romans @ The Vale -Tue 9th Sep
We welcome Bath City to The Vale on Tuesday night kick-off 7.45 for our latest Vanarama Conference South match. After Saturday’s defeat away to Hayes & Yeading United, where Stones had most of the play but couldn’t find the edge to get the better of the home side, the management team and players will be looking to put things right against our visitors who lost at home( 1-4) on Saturday to Whitehawk, and currently sit below us on goal difference in the embryonic Vanarama Conference South League.
Our visitors have proved to be a bit of a bogey side for us in the past as the results show on the History page. Who can remember much about the last win in the League (3-2) at Twerton Park back in Feb 1986 or the last HOME win in Nov 1975 (3-1). Perhaps it is time to bury the ‘Romans Hex’ once and for all.
Arrive early and relax ahead of kick-off by taking advantage of the excellent fayre on offer from the ‘Rollin Kitchen’ boys who in addition to their normal outstanding menu are offering Chicken Tikka Masala, Pilau Rice and a Nan Bread from 6pm to 7.30pm so you can sit down eat your curry with a beer of your choice in the Club House, they will also have 20/30 portions available from the trailer for those late arrivals.
So get on down to The Vale and roar Stones on to their first League victory of the season
Admission is £12 Adults, £7 Concession (over 65’s, students on production of ID card) and £2 forUnder16’s. Remember holders of a Season Ticket for a Premiership or Football League can gain admission for £6
