Next-up Wingate & Finchley at The Vale, Sat 17th August
We welcome Wingate & Finchley to The Vale this Saturday for a Ryman Premier game kick-off 3.00pm. In their opening 2 games our visitors have won at home beating Carshalton Athletic and have lost on the road at Met Police.
With news this week that International clearance has finally been received from FAW the vastly experienced Glen Little should be available to join the squad. The 6’3″ player made his name as a flying winger in a very successful career that started in Ireland whilst on loan from Crystal Palace, turning out for Derry City and Glentoran whom he helped win the Irish Cup in 1996 scoring a memorable goal.
Something of a cult hero at his last club Wrexham, Little has also previously played for Burnley, Crystal Palace, Sheffield United and Aldershot Town. He has also appeared in the Premier League for Bolton Wanderers, Reading and Portsmouth, amassing over 500 professional appearances, scoring 66 goals. Little played in some big European games for Portsmouth in their only European season when he played against AC Milan
Come on down nice and early and take time to visit the Social Club and then have a good look around inside the ground to see hard work that has been undertaken in the close-season to improve the match-day experience.
Match-day entry is £10 adults, £5 concession and £2 for Under 16’s.
A Match-day programme is £2.50. Don’t forget if you are a Season Ticket holder of another club (except our visitors) admission is just £5 on production of your ticket at the turnstile.
