Hampton & Richmond BoroughOnly five of the side that started at Boreham Wood on Tuesday were in the starting line-up for Wealdstone on Thursday evening at The Vale.
In a very entertaining quarter final senior county cup match both goalkeepers were called into constant action throughout and Stones put in a much improved performance following recent league disappointments. The Hampton side, going so strongly in the Blue Square Conference South, included some first team squad regulars but also several reserves.
Stones worked hard from start to finish against the current cup holders and deserved their 1-0 victory,striker Callum Martin, who looked lively when he made his much awaited return from long term injury on Tuesday at Boreham Wood, scored from close range with seven minutes
to go.
Wealdstone are now away to Hendon in the semi-final at Wembley’s Vale Farm ground on Tuesday 10th March.
