Borehamwood 2 – 3 Wealdstone

Stones continued their excellent Cup form when they again defeated a revitalised Borehamwood in an exciting League Cup encounter on Tuesday night and will now play Ashford Town, at home, in the last eight.
In a game of changing fortunes, Wood took the lead but Stones leading marksman Peter Dean equalised to get back to hitting the net following a lean spell. Stones then grabbed two goals in 3 minutes at the end of the half to race into a 3-1 lead by the break with goals from Alex Campana and Graeme Montgomery. Campana’s first goal for his new club came from a trademark long throw from Lee Chappell that created mayhem in the Wood defence and the on-loan Watford man chested the ball in.
A tense second period saw Wood get a goal back with a lobbed goal from Watters on 58 minutes, but Stones held out firmly and could have extended the lead two minutes from time when Dean missed a sitter.
Stones entertain Folkestone Invicta at Northwood Park on Saturday in a vital Ryman League match.
